Brick Wall

The market church is the main Protestant temple of the capital of Hessen, part of the architectural ensemble of the Palace Square.

The Church arose after the previous General Protestant Temple of Wisbaden, the Medieval Church of Saint Mauritius, was destroyed by a fire (1850). The market church was built in 1853-1862 on the Carl Boos architect ' s project as the Protestant Nassau Duke. At that time, it was the biggest brick building of the duchess.

The Church is a non-gotical three-year base without a cross-sectional sky, ended with five towers, with a classic decor. The unusual non-hogotical brick church was formed by the Friedrichsverder Church in Berlin, created by the famous architect Carl Shinkele.

The West Tower of the Temple at a height of 98 metres (according to some sources - 92 metres) is the highest building of Wisbaden. She's flanked by two side towers at a height of 58 metres, the choir tower height is 73 meters.

In the course of the restoration of the temple in 1963-1964, his interns were repatriated by a historically bright red-eyed wall shade, which contains white captors and ornaments. The church is written as a star sky.
